About Us
Hello, and thank you for visiting my site. My name is Debra and I have been a licensed massage therapist for over 15 years. Having the good fortune of being raised in a family valuing a healthy lifestyle and putting an emphasis upon preventative health care, my passion and belief in the critical importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle runs deep. Massage therapy embodies this philosophy given that it is a natural, effective way to deal with physical pain and stress. Stress related disorders make up almost 90% of the ailments that bring people to a family practice physician. Because it addresses both physical and emotional stress, I believe massage therapy can offer a prompt and effective way of reducing costly doctor visits and the use of prescription medicines.
I received my initial massage training at Wellness Skills here in Dallas, opening my own office in Preston Royal Shopping Center in 1995. I chose this location because it is in a center with other holistic health professionals, including a highly regarded, knowledgeable and accomplished chiropractor. Having this resource next door is very valuable to many of my clients seeking this kind of treatment.
The last several years I've been focused on advanced massage education which has expanded my expertise. I am accomplished in: deep tissue massage, sports massage, reflexology, shiatsu, trigger point, face-toning massage, and ashiatsu oriental bar therapy. I love what I do, and I find it very satisfying to learn new techniques which effectively help my clients. Many of my clients are very athletic or require deep pressure and have sought me out for regular massage because of my strength and focus.
Of course the most rewarding thing about my work is when my clients tell me how much better they feel after their massage - their headache is gone, their lower back doesn't hurt, they can turn their head again, they feel relaxed.
I hope you will give me a call or e-mail me if you have any questions. Or call 214-207-8919 and make an appointment with me today!
